Salt-X can be applied to all machinery, vehicles, cooling systems, etc by simply attach the Auto Mix Unit (link) to a hose and spraying. The Auto Mix Unit will blend in the correct amount of SALT-X to the water. Rinse the equipment with SALT-X and let air dry before storage. Do not rinse off.

ORGANIZATIONAL CORROSION PREVENTION AND CONTROL PROCEDURES FOR MILITARY EQUIPMENT.

Prior to embarking into a salty region pre-coat the Vehicles/Vessels exterior with Salt-X, including underbody, using an Auto Mix Unit which is attached to a hose.

All equipment including vehicles and vessels, exposed to salt water or salt spray, should be washed down on return with Salt-X using an Auto Mix Unit. Do not wash off, clean off windscreen only. Let air dry, does not effect any surface except magnesium.

If a solid build up of salt deposits or rust marks are evident use SaltBuster with an Auto Mix Unit or spray, sponge or broom on (soft hair broom). This can be left on to air dry.

Marine Engines, Cooling Systems should be flushed out with Salt-X concentrate using an Auto Mix Unit. Do a normal flush with water, when the motor is hot (last minutes of flush), use Salt-X concentrate, as the tube fills remove from container, watch the Salt-X go into the motor (up the clear tube), turn off motor leaving Salt-X inside the engine. Maximum benefit is achieved during the time the motor is not being used.

Tools, Underwater Camera Housings, SCUBA Regulators, Wetsuits, BCD’s, Dive Computers etc should be soaked in a bucket of Salt-X solution 70:1 ratio for new equipment maintenance, let soak for 5 –10 minutes. Make sure the 1st stage dust cap is on regulators before submerging.

Rusty Tools, Knives etc use 35:1 ratio for an overnight soak.

Electronics that have been salt water damaged should be soaked in SaltBuster ratio 35:1. Monitor individual items depending on degree of damage.
