The SALT-X OUTBOARD FLUSH UNIT effectively delivers the correct ration of Salt-X to your outboard’s cooling system. To flush your outboard simply mix 1 part Salt-X Concentrate with 1 part water in a small container. Flush outboard as per normal with this unit fitted in the hose line near the outboard. This warms up the motor. Before ending flush cycle place black pick up tube from the flushing unit into the Salt-X solution and allow to flow into outboard. Shut down flushing process prior to Salt-X being pumped out of the cooling system. Simply turn off the tape to stop the flow and shut down the engine. Leave Salt-X in engine cooling system and the treatment is complete.

Outboards up to 90 HP:
30 ml Salt-X Concentrate /30 ml water

Outboard over 90 HP:
60 ml Salt-X Concentrate /60 ml water

Inboards Motors:
90 ml Salt-X Concentrate / 90 ml water

The AUTO MIX UNIT is a solid brass adaptor fitted with a non return valve. An arrow is engraved on the side of the unit indication the direction of the flow, install the unit so the arrow is pointing towards the engine. The pressure from the tap should be at a consistent flow, not too hard or slow. This allows the venturi to pick up the solution at the correct mix. It is important to shut down both engine and tap once the Salt-X has been drawn up into the motor. Flush the engine when boat is not being used. i.e. at the end of a fishing trip etc. Always rinse out the Auto Mix Unit in warm water before storing away.

The AUTO MIX UNIT is designed for use with SALT-X to flush salt deposits from inside engines and for rinsing down larger areas such as boats, trailers, vehicles, homes, etc. The AUTO MIX UNIT works with any garden hose. We recommend using a hose that is from 7.5m to 15m in length. The advantage of the AUTO MIX UNIT over hose end units is that the AUTO MIX UNIT gives a CONSTANT FLOW of 60 ml of SALT-X per 4 litres of water! Hose end units are prone to emptying the chemical cup quickly and then allowing only fresh water to run through your hose.

The AUTO MIX UNIT can also be used with Buster 50 to wash down boats, trailer, vehicles and seaside homes. It’s makes garden fertilizing and lawn treatments easy.
